FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

“How do I get involved with homecoming?”

You must be in an officially Recognized Student Organization (RSO), Greek Chapter or Residence Hall (floors/complexes) to participate in official homecoming competition events, however, any student that is not a member of an RSO, Greek Chapter or Residence Hall may attend events and participate in the blood drive.

“How does my RSO participate in the parade?”

To participate in any of the Homecoming events, your organization must complete all the required forms for each event. Only officially Recognized Student Organizations (RSO’s), Greek Chapters and Residence Halls (floors/complexes) may participate in Homecoming competition events. All other activities are open to all students, faculty, staff, alumni and the general public.

“When are the Homecoming meetings and how many do I have to attend?”

Participation is 75 points/meeting. There will be a total of 2 fall meetings, so a total of 150 points will be given for participation. Attendance will be taken. Only ONE representative per Recognized Student Organization, Fraternity, Sorority, or Residence Hall needs to be in attendance. An overall total of 225 points will be given if the organization is represented at every meeting.

“Can I get points for more than one organization?”

Students can earn participation and attendance points for one or more groups that they are competing under for each event.

“Do I have to attend both Homecoming meetings and Homecoming Parade Meetings?”

Homecoming and homecoming parade meetings will be combined this fall to make things easier for RSO’s, Greek Chapters and Residence Halls who will be participating in both events.

“Where can I find the forms I need to fill out to participate in Homecoming?”

You can find homecoming participation forms under the “Forms” tab.
