ASUN hosted the 3rd Student Organization Representative Council (SORC)
on Wednesday, January 25 in the City Campus Centennial Room. Around 150 RSO leaders from a diverse range of RSOs were in attendance. Workshop topics included increasing member participation, tackling communication issues, how ASUN can improve its services to RSOs and students, sustainability issues, student fees and graduate student open forum.
President Lane Carr welcomed RSO leaders to SORC noting, "This is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts with ASUN on how we can improve, but also a way you can have a dialogue with RSOs that are most like you. We look forward to learning ways we can improve our service to you." Carr went on to show RSO leaders how they can request a presentation from ASUN by accessing the RSO Presentation Form on the ASUN website. Furthermore, Carr encouraged attendees to Tweet using #SORC.
The Council provided many pages of notes, ideas, and concerns that will now be gathered, and separated to the appropriate committees to address."
