The Green Fund Selections Committee consists of 7 voting, student members and is advised by Prabhakar Shrestaha, UNL’s Sustainability Coordinator. With help from an external board of subject matter experts, these 7 students review grant proposals and make recommendations to senate about which projects should be funded. Every year, 4 students will be elected to the committee by the student body during ASUN elections, and then 3 students will be appointed by the ASUN appointments board. Below are the current members of the GFSC:
Jackson Cutsor Committee Chair
Jackson, a senior electrical engineering student with a minor in energy science, is from Omaha, Nebraska. He is excited to be a member of the GFSC because he will get to meet passionate individuals and assist them with being on the forefront of sustainability efforts on campus.
Vivian, a Lincoln native, graduated from UNL with a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Studies and is now pursuing her Master’s degree in Political Science. Vivian believes student involvement has always been the heart of the sustainability movement here at UNL, which is why she’s excited to be a part of the Green Fund Selections Committee this year.
