Husker Share is a shared ride option designed exclusively for University of Nebraska–Lincoln students.
Share an Uber ride with one or two fellow Huskers traveling in the same direction and save money on transportation across Lincoln.
How do I sign up?
Register for Husker Share
- Sign up. If you already have an Uber account, sign up for Husker Share through the secure enrollment form. If you are downloading Uber for the first time, create an Uber account, then enter your UNL credentials on the secure enrollment form.
- Get approved. Once your UNL affiliation is verified, Husker Share will appear as an option in the Uber app.
- Request a ride. Open the Uber app, enter your pickup and drop-off destination, and select Husker Share as your ride option to request a shared ride with fellow Husker heading in a similar direction.

Where can I ride?
Husker Share rides are available within the Lincoln Ne city limits. Trips must begin and end inside the designated service area.
Can I ride with friends?
Husker Share allows just one person per booking, with up to three people per ride. If you are traveling with a friend or a group, book an UberX instead.
How many people will be on my ride?
Husker Share will match you with up to two other individual riders, for a maximum of three passengers from different parties in the vehicle at one time. Husker Share is designed to add no more than 8 minutes on average to your trip.
How much does Husker Share cost?
Husker Share rides can cost up to 20% less than standard UberX fares because riders share trips with one or two UNL students traveling in the same direction.
How is Husker Share different from UberX?
Husker Share allows riders to share trips with other UNL students, lowering costs while riding stress-free.
